Mt. Hood Hospice is a non-profit organization that has been providing hospice care to the community for the past 41 years. We boast an amazing staff, many of whom have been here for years. Our nurses are among the best in the hospice care community, and we often receive compliments on our nursing staff, their compassion, knowledge, and attentiveness to our terminally ill patients and their families. Mt. Hood Hospice offers one of the lowest nurse-to-patient ratios in the area, compared to many other hospices and we are number one on ‘Care Compare’ for local hospices. We believe our low nurse-to-patient ratio allows our nurses to offer more personalized, consistent, and one-on-one care to patients, allowing them to spend the time needed at each visit to provide thorough care and attend to all needs of our patients and their families. Multiple weekly visits are also made when requested.
In addition to our nursing staff, we also provide a team of caring individuals to help guide you and your family through a difficult time, including social workers, a chaplain, doctors, volunteers, and amazing office staff to help with any need that may arise. Our bereavement support follows families for 13 months and offers free support groups to the community. If you are looking for compassionate, considerate, personalized, and thoughtful care for someone in the last months of life, Mt. Hood Hospice would be honored to hold your hand as we walk with you through that journey.
